On September 25th, 2018 the Town hosted a Public Open House to discuss proposed concepts for the rehabilitation of Market Square and Market Wharf. Over 100 people were in attendance and the Town received excellent feedback. If you were unable to attend, below is a copy of the handout that was provided that evening. There is also a link at the bottom of the page under “Attachments” which will make the image larger.
SNBSC has now replaced the community blue bins throughout the region with curbside recycling carts. It is clear that Saint Andrews residents have embraced the program, as the first pick-up day on Sept. 6th resulted in 4 tonnes of recyclables being diverted from the landfill from our Town alone.
Saint Andrews is updating its Municipal Plan. The Municipal Plan is a document that your council will use to ensure they are making decisions in a way that is in the public interest. The town is mandated by the New Brunswick Community Planning Act to do this every ten years.

The Southwest New Brunswick Service Commission will be launching a new residential recycling program this year, replacing the current system of community bins. The new service will see new mobile recycling containers delivered to resident’s homes in the region beginning in July, with the program for picking up the containers starting in September. The new program will see an expansion of recyclables accepted, including more kinds of plastic and tin cans.
