At the April 1st, 2019 Regular Council Meeting, By-law 19-03 Being the Building by-law was introduced for First reading. A Hearing of Objections was held by Council on Monday, April 29th, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the W. C. O’Neill Arena Complex with no objections by letter or people present. Second Reading took place on Monday April 29, at 7PM and Council proceeded with the Third and final Reading at the Regular May meeting of Council on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 7PM at the W.C. O’Neill Arena Complex Ballroom. Registration of the By-law took place in the County Registry Office on May 17, 2019.
This report was prepared by Eastern Charlotte Waterways Inc. with the support of the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund. It was approved by Council at a Special Meeting of Council held on Monday, March 25, 2019.
Eastern Charlotte Waterways has been working in partnership with municipalities in an effort to identify and manage vulnerable areas during exceptional weather events as well as predicted sea level rise over a period of years. They continue to gather valuable information that will hopefully assist municipalities in the preparation for these events.

It was moved by Councillor Bishop, seconded by Councillor Groulx that Zoning By-Law Z18-04, Being a By-Law to repeal and replace Zoning By-Law 10-04, A By-Law of the Town of Saint Andrews Respecting Zoning, and all amendments thereto, including By-Law 13-01, saving and excepting By-Law 15-02, By-Law Z17-01, By-Law Z17-02, and By-Law Z17-03, be read for a third time and final time. Carried

On September 25th, 2018 the Town hosted a Public Open House to discuss proposed concepts for the rehabilitation of Market Square and Market Wharf. Over 100 people were in attendance and the Town received excellent feedback. If you were unable to attend, below is a copy of the handout that was provided that evening. There is also a link at the bottom of the page under “Attachments” which will make the image larger.
Know where to find ticks. Ticks do not fly or jump. Instead, they hang out on shrubs, bushes and tall grass waiting for hosts to brush against the vegetation, so the tick can hitch a ride.
SNBSC has now replaced the community blue bins throughout the region with curbside recycling carts. It is clear that Saint Andrews residents have embraced the program, as the first pick-up day on Sept. 6th resulted in 4 tonnes of recyclables being diverted from the landfill from our Town alone.
