The Saint Andrews Community Youth Activity Centre, which is open to youth ages 12-18, is a space dedicated to the needs and interests of the youth within our community. We are a safe and inclusive space where youth can gather, engage in various activities, learn new skills, and connect with peers.
We offer a wide range of programs, activities, and services based on the interests and needs of the youth in the area. These include sports activities such as basketball, soccer, hiking, biking, skiing, skateboarding (at an adjacent park). We offer creative outlets such as art workshops and music sessions, baking, meal preparations, computer games, and more. We will ensure the youth have opportunities in leadership development and community service initiatives as well.
The centre provides resources and support for youth in areas such as career counselling, health and wellness, and personal development. It aims to foster a sense of belonging, encourage positive social interactions, and empower young people to become active participants in their community.
We often collaborate with local organizations, schools, and volunteers to expand the range of offerings and provide diverse experiences for the youth. They may also organize special events, outings, and trips to promote experiential learning and community engagement.
