This beautiful French-Canadian comedy-drama was written and directed by Denys Arcand, one of Canada’s greatest filmmakers. Rëmy Girard (representing the 82-year-old Arcand’) is wonderful as a 70 something retired archivist living in a retirement home who is trying to get his head around the aging process and the confusion of life in 2023. Arcand pokes fun at all sides in what some critics and viewers mistake for a serious drama but is actually a very funny satire.
