Notice to the Public: Construction Notice Champlain Avenue, Prince of Wales, Carleton Street, Elizabeth Street, and Edward Street Emergency Water Valve Repair.

Posted: March 11, 2024

There is a planned shutdown of the existing water mains around the area of the project, near the Algonquin Hotel, scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. The water system will shut down between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and approximately 6:00 p.m. Please note that residents in this area have been notified with a hand-delivered letter. This area will be without water during the specified time. Please take an opportunity to draw water for your daily needs before the shutdown at 7:45 a.m. Water heaters should be turned off during the shutdown to prevent damage to heating elements.

Starting March 12, 2024, a boil water advisory will be in place for the affected residents. When water is restored, all water to be used for cooking, drinking, or any consumption must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute. This boil water advisory will last until two clean samples are obtained by the Department of Health.

The Town of Saint Andrews apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause. If you have any inquiries or concerns, regarding the above-mentioned project, please contact Town Hall at 506 529 5120.
