Update Stein Lake Fire

Day 5 is underway for Stein Lake Fire.

The fire parameter did not expand last night. The fighters will continue concentration on hot spots again today, and continued work on the fire line with bulldozers. The terrain is extremely difficult but they continue to make steady progress.

Although the fire is still deemed out of control, it continues to be manageable. Once a fire line is established around the complete area, the classification could change.

Thank you to Minister Mike Holland and the Department for establishing a long term communication strategy with the municipality.
